Built in South Africa and inspired by the rugged beauty of our wilderness, our brand is for those who feel the pull of the mountains, the bushveld, the coastline, and the open spaces in between. Whether you're hiking a Drakensberg trail, casting a line before sunrise, sitting around a campfire, or exploring a place you've never been before, we believe the outdoors has a way of reminding us who we are.

The mountain and compass in our logo represent two things we can always count on in the wild: direction and purpose. They serve as a reminder to stay true to your path, wherever it may lead.

The name

The meaning behind our name

The name Carpe Outdoorsman is inspired by the phrase Carpe Diem — seize the day. The highlighted “D” and “M” pay tribute to the word Diem, while our message remains simple: seize your true adventurer, seize the outdoors, and make the most of every day.
